Kingdom Hearts 1 is an interesting game for a number of reasons, not only because of the game itself, but it marked the end of two eras for two companies, the end of Squaresoft, and the end of Tomy. Both of these companies would go on to merge with their biggest competitors of the time, making Kingdom Hearts one of the last franchises to use both of these names. This had a ripple effect to both the new and bold direction for the game and Square as a whole, and that spread to the game's merchandise. Most of the merchandise released for Kingdom Hearts 1 is distinctly 2000's, being made up of unique looking figures, phone straps, gachapon, trading cards, and more.
These ramune badges were blind bags released to promote Kingdom Hearts 1 in Japan, they came with one random badge and sticker sheet, as well as a ramune candy.
