In 2009, Konami would release "Love Plus" on the NDS, a dating simulation/ visual novel game, exclusivley in Japan. The Love Plus franchise is a spiritual succsessor to Konami's previous dating series, "Tokimeki Memorial". Love Plus is notable for using a number of unique NDS features, such as being able to talk to the main characters through the DS's built in microphone, using the system's real time clock to act as an interactive alarm clock. The game centers around three female characters, Rinko, Nene, and Manaka, each character having very different personalities.
